This is basically an open world rpg mp shooter in a post apocalyptic occult world overrun by demons, a world setting inspired by Megami Tensei/SMT from the mid 80s and Genma Wars from the 60s with combat similar to The Division, and map layouts similar to the souls series.

The world didn't completely end, it was ravaged by Demons, and in response nuclear weapons, and as a result messed up weather and earthquakes; so while there is plenty still functioning, with 3/4 of the human population gone and a complicated relationship with Demons, the world is a hostile chaotic place.

First game it would take place in Japan, probably starting in Osaka, and later Kyoto, and Tokyo. Osaka makes a wonderful area for an Apocalypse, it is filled with bizarre buildings, and a convoluted assortment of passageways and overpasses.
