Broken Monday - The Dust of Osaka

Wishlist my solo developed game! https://store.steampowered.com/app/2544160/AENiGMA_GAME_STORM_HACKER/

Another Concept for Broken Monday, dust lights up in the setting sun of Osaka, structures appear to be falling into eachother and built up as if humans/demons built new structures out of and ontop of the old world.

Instead of seeing this world situation as pure chaos you can think of it as I am playing with the idea of Wabi-Sabi, an idea in Japanese culture that celebrates imperfection and transience, It fits a post apocalyptic world well, one that knows that things will end but it might as well be somewhat beautiful while it lasts. I was inspired by 2 parts of Osaka for this one, first where it takes place, a V intersection outside Osaka Station that is highly futuristic looking, and second the mall by the Aquarium, where they have this one section in an otherwise modern mall with a cozy maze of down to earth shops with traditional Japanese aesthetic and lights all abound.

3d Base I made and area of Osaka I used. Probably didn't need to use 3D, but it did let me think in a way that would of taken a lengthy sketching/thumbnail phase. I referenced google earth for building portions from above.
